Just When I Thought it Was Safe to Go Back in the Water!
August 7, 2010 at 12:20 P.M. Continuing obstructions prevent me from writing at my home computer. I will persist in writing efforts from public computers. Congratulations to Mr. Castro on his return to good health. Many persons predicted Fidel Castro's recovery. Attacks on my computer and writings have resulted in defacements of several works. I will struggle to make necessary corrections. ("The Winter of the Patriarch" and "Havana Nights and C.I.A. Tapes.")
I expect some surprises for Mr. Castro's enemies in the months and years ahead. Although I disagree with some of President Castro's positions. I am always on the side of dissidents everywhere. I also find myself in agreement with Fidel Castro on some important issues. Along with Fidel Castro and millions of persons around the world, I call on the United States of America to close the Guantanamo facility and free Mumia Abu-Jamal as well as many other political prisoners in America. ("Freedom for Mumia Abu-Jamal" and "Fidel Castro's 'History Will Absolve Me.'")
August 6, 2010 at 5:36 P.M. Just when I thought it was safe to go back in the water, I find my computer controls frozen! My security system is paralyzed, once again. Anyone would imagine that this is about causing stress and anxiety to little-old me. Another obstruction to my security system prevents me from running scans this evening, after completing my writing for the day. I will keep trying throughout the day.
I will attempt to contact http://www.freepress.net/ and the U.S. Attorney's Office for New York, from a public computer in the days ahead, to see whether there is something that can be done about this situation. Any help you can provide is very welcome. It is absurd to object to any house of worship -- including a mosque -- at the site of the 9/11 tragedy. In fact, what more appropriate indication of the true meaning of the Islamic faith than a hallowed piece of territory to commemorate the many Muslim victims of that terrible Tuesday? A mosque is highly appropriate.
Is it possible that these computer crimes are related to the sentencing of Mr. Camarano from Hoboken to several years in prison? Would Hoboken's former Mayor (or his counsel) have knowledge concerning these matters? Is the U.S. Attorney's Office interested in this continuing drama? FBI?
I cannot explain these distressing developments. I fear governmental corruption may account for this continuing nightmare. Is it possible that there is corruption in New Jersey's legal system? It cannot be. This is America. The mafia does not rule over any state's legal system, right? Honestly, I have no great certainty that contacting the U.S. Attorney's Office will have any effect on this situation.
No criminal can get away with this level of computer crime for so many years, unless he or she enjoys government protection. Senator Menendez, can you explain these disturbing developments? Is my security system permanently at the disposal and control of these renegade New Jersey -- or Cuban-American -- officials?
August 5, 2010 at about 10:15 P.M., I discovered that my computer was dead. I was unable to make any use of it. The Internet connection was blocked and/or obstructed, I believe, by a person or persons located in New Jersey. I will attempt to restart my computer -- the hard drive may have been shot in this latest attack -- then I will try to get back on-line. It is possible that this latest computer crime has destroyed all of my files and memory.
If I am without a personal computer, I will try to make use of public computers (from multiple locations), at least once or twice per week. I will also attempt to make brief entries commenting exclusively on New Jersey events. It is likely that, as a result of this latest attack, I will be unable to post reviews, essays, fiction, or other substantial or serious work. However, I will certainly continue to struggle against New Jersey's Mafia power-structure and the Right-wing Cubanazos. I have reason to hope that more arrests are forthcoming in New Jersey.
Due to the state of mind in which I find myself, I will be unable to do serious work today on new projects. However, I will continue to read and take notes in connection with those projects. I am able to continue writing reviews and essays (thanks to the rescuing of that beleaguered hard drive), but I cannot entrust a long narrative to this computer.
August 6, 2010 at 1:24 P.M. After a close call, I have my system up and running -- for the time being. New attacks are always expected. I am scanning for viruses (second complete scan today) as I type this comment. Below are only some of the developments to notice in New Jersey and elsewhere:
Jeff Pillets, "Audit Assails Troubled Agency for Lax Controls: Cities Uncollected Overpeck Dumping Fees," in The Record, July 30, 2010, at p. A-1. (A Bergen County agency of the GOVERNMENT is under federal scrutiny for its alleged role in a consumer mortgage scam.)
Andrew Frye & David Evans, "Prudential Faces Fraud Probe," in The Record, July 30, 2010, at p. L-8. ("More than 100 [insurance] carriers earn investment income on $28 BILLION owed to life insurance beneficiaries ..." Not only do insurers not pay out to beneficiaries, while collecting premiums, they make money on proceeds undeclared as income which is probably shared under the table with Trenton politicians.)
Richard Perez-Pena, "New Jersey is Sued Over the Forced Medication of Patients at Psychiatric Hospitals," in The New York Times, August 4, 2010, at p. A15. (NJ chemically lobotomizes persons, against their will, many of whom are young women who may be sexually molested or abused by so-called "therapists." I wonder why they are not getting better?)
John Reitmeyer, "Roles are Reversed in Criticism of State Deficit: Christie Faces Fight Similar to Corzine's Last year," in The Record, August 5, 2010, at p. A-1. (Christie's budget will produce a $10.5 BILLION deficit in N.J. -- this deficit will result in more budget cuts and job losses for New Jersey residents.)
"Predator versus Protector," (Editorial) in The Record, August 5, 2010, at p. A-16. (NJ Supreme Court allows convicted sex offender to seek public employment in law enforcement.)
Michael Gartland, "Developer Wary of Teterboro Plan: Breakup Could Make Property Taxes Soar," in The Record, August 5, 2010, at p. L-1. (Democrat plan to gobble-up potential increased taxes in town breakup halted.)
Ishmail Khan, "Police Official Assassinated by Taliban in Pakistan," in The New York Times, August 5, 2010, at p. A6. (Tactics mirroring the methods used by Taliban in Afghanistan and Iraq result in assassination 2 days after similar killing in Iraq, both killings followed U.S. announcement of a "pullout.")
"Lawyers Win Right to Aid U.S. Target," in The New York Times, August 5, 2010, at p. A13. (U.S. sought to execute Anwar al-Alwaki WITHOUT TRIAL, by denying a "license" to lawyers who sought to represent the man, perhaps because these lawyers were deemed "unethical." Defense lawyers must be licensed, essentially, by prosecutors, who tend to like lawyers agreeing with them about how terrible defendants happen to be. Cozy, isn't it?)
During the past month numerous attacks have been launched against these sites, as I have noted, and I have experienced other personal harassments that are above and beyond the norm. I will intensify my efforts to confront New Jersey with criminal violations of law that are routine in that state. I will continue to request the torture files from Trenton. I will continue to struggle. My security system seems to have been neutralized.
I doubt that any intelligent person reading the hundreds of essays detailing New Jersey's disgusting level of criminality as well as incompetence in its legal system and politics can avoid the conclusion that the Garden State is a failed jurisdiction. New Jersey has become the ultimate betrayal of the values found in the Constitution of the United States of America. ("New Jersey is the Home of the Living Dead" and "Law and Ethics in the Soprano State" then "New Jersey is Lucky Luciano's Havana" and "Is Union City, New Jersey Meyer Lansky's Whore House?")
