An Open Letter to My Censors.

November 11, 2010 at 6:15 P.M. My computer was shut off while I was outside my home. I have rebooted the computer again. The Newport cigarette case placed for me to find contained $28.00 in cash (I have copied the serial numbers of the bills), also a credit card in the name of Theresa M. Brady, issued by Bank of America, expiration 8/14, DEBIT-VISA, No. #4117-7339-2924-3689, in small numbers 4117. The back of this card contains the numbers #3689 4 71. Customer Service Number 1-800-432-1000. Is George E. Norcross, III affiliated in any way with Bank of America?

To the best of my knowledge and recollection, as I write this paragraph, I do not know this person. I cannot return this card or the cigarette box with this money to her, if it is hers, but I will turn them over to the Super in my building tomorrow morning, a regular busness day, in case this property belongs to someone in my building. I do not have a credit card or use a debit card. I will struggle to write from somewhere tomorrow. Anyone walking towards me counting cash should know that I am not "for sale."

November 11, 2010 at 8:18 A.M. As I attempted to scan my computer, the cable signal to my computer was blocked. The computer was shut off. I rebooted my computer. Ironically, this state censorship takes place on "Veteran's Day."

November 11, 2010 at 7:52 A.M. Yesterday evening, as I was exiting my building, I found a cigarette pack with cash inside and a credit card. I do not know the person who owns this cigarette pack or its contents. I will turn over the item (with its contents intact) to the super or leave it in the lobby of my building for the "owner" to find or give to charity. I am sure that this is only a coincidence. In case anyone has doubts about this, I will continue to follow this policy in all future instances of such happy discoveries, regardless of the amount involved. If I find a large amount of money, I will make sure to drop it off at my local police station. I trust that this answers any questions persons may have about me. I will try to run another security update and backup of my computer's files today. I will photocopy the credit card and the cash (with the serial numbers of the bills highlighted) before turning the items over to my Super.

November 10, 2010 at 2:08 P.M. My computer's cable signal has been blocked, twice so far, preventing my security scans and making writing difficult. I will make use of public computers. I expect further blocking of my computer signal, criminal censorship of my writings and suppressions of speech on the basis of my opinions and ideas. This struggle is not about what I believe or what anyone thinks of me -- disagreement and/or unfavorable views of me are your right -- it is about the Constitution of the United States of America.

November 10, 2010 at 11:06 A.M. The following advertisement was attached, illegally, to this website and has been accompanied by the most vicious racism that I have encountered in many years. Much of this racism is associated with Right-wing groups in the Cuban-American community who do not like me. "Rey Decerega?" Calling me an expletive associated with African-Americans is a compliment:

I do not believe that this is an "official" White House website or in any way associated with the President of the United States of America -- all of America.

November 10, 2010 at about 9:50 A.M. As I was reviewing my writings, my computer's cable signal was blocked and my computer was shut off. I have rebooted my computer. I will work from public computers later today. I will struggle to continue writing under these circumstances, despite censorship and suppressions of speech made possible by government technology in New Jersey. The goal of these repetitive frustrations and torments is: 1) to destroy my hard drive, if possible, and 2) to cause a kind of nervous collapse or breakdown; besides, 3) discouraging writing efforts by me (and others) with opinions similar to mine. Today, like yesterday, my computer has been repeatedly turned off as a result of several episodes of blocking my cable signal. The result of this computer crime is to prevent me from writing at my home computer. This makes it impossible to work on long or difficult philosophical essays. It is also not possible to write creative literary works under such conditions. This may well be the point of the exercise -- to prevent me from writing and posting essays.

I do not think that I am exaggerating -- nor is it "melodramatic" -- to observe and say, clearly, that this is a form of psychological torture, censorship, and public criminality by persons who must have governmental protection or authority in order to get away with such cruelty for so long. You are witnessing state censorship of writings on the basis of their content in America despite the provisions of the U.S. Constitution and federal civil rights laws. I wish to be very clear concerning what I believe is going on and what I hope will take place in response to these actions by the state. I also hope to say once again -- in the strongest possible terms -- what are the dangers to American society from a failure to respond to this threat to our civil liberties as well as "security." Security means many things. Our legal rights should also be secure from criminal violations by the government, even if we are not powerful or rich, even if we hold minority or unpopular views concerning controversial political issues. ("Time to End the Embargo Against Cuba.")

I believe that N.J. officials are responsible for this censorship and computer crimes that are aimed at silencing my critiques of the Garden State's corrupt legal system and politics. I can no longer distinguish between N.J.'s legal establishment and political power-structure, on the one hand, and the mafia or organized crime, on the other hand. This censorship will not prevent me from speaking out against corruption. I will make use of more public computers in the days and weeks ahead. Censorship and computer crime helps to prove much of what I am saying. I will continue to do the same "work" in the future. I have reason to believe that people are seeing this grotesque spectacle in many places in the world. If these crimes of censorship and torture, theft and rape by state officials or their agents are unpunished, then we have disgraced the memory of the men and women who have died for our rights. If you visit these blogs and are not counted as a reader of these texts, then you may draw some conclusions concerning your status as a "non-person" in America. This spectacle of behind-the back criminality aimed against me has unfolded over several decades.

The goal of censorship is always to discourage writing efforts and silence dissidents through hardships, frustrations, despair leading to the abandonment of all creative self-expression. Terror tactics are designed to frighten others with controversial opinions. Censors should scare you, regardless of whether you agree about anything that I have said. Courts are -- or should be -- "forums of principle" (Ronald Dworkin) for testing laws and protecting rights, not sounding boards for the two political parties in America. For any American state Supreme Court to condone or be complicit in these crimes is the ultimate betrayal of the Constitution. I will not stop writing. I will not stop criticizing the New Jersey legal system or the state's corrupt and bemerded politics. My opinions on the Cuban embargo -- or any other issue -- will not be altered by intimidation. Murdering me will not prove me logically wrong concerning a philosophical or political issue. More important than the harm that I continue to suffer, every day, is this public defecation on the U.S. Constitution by persons using government power to torture a dissident. Men and women have died to protect rights -- I write this on Veterna's Day, again -- which American politicians, through their agents, are violating secretly to the indifference of law enforcement. Media silence in response to public censorship and cruelty is lethal to our democracy. Much the same may be said of allowing politicians to insert text in newscopy appearing in our "independent" news media, often in articles covering their own actions or shaping controversies concerning their proposals for public policy. It is difficult to actually read long and ungrammatical New York Times articles, but many persons skim the articles, every day. Is the person writing as "Caveat Venter" at blogspot a mere "dabbler" in journalism? Jay Romano? ("Manohla Dargis Strikes Again!")

The torture of any human being in America and censorship are not matters about which I will remain silent. This is true even if I am not the victim of such evil. You must decide whether you will remain apathetic to cruelty, evil, violations of a person's integrity taking place before your eyes. Even if I am alone in this struggle -- despite poverty and powerlessness -- I will continue to wage this battle for freedom of speech and for the truth concerning the crimes to which I have been subjected. Mr. Obama, the whole world is watching.

Please tell your friends in other countries and states about this situation, bring attention to bear on these matters -- especially, U.S. legal attention -- so that no one will be subjected to such evil again in America, or anywhere.

At any time, I may be prevented from writing further. However, for as long as I am breathing, I will continue to think, read, and write somewhere and to express myself, freely, somehow:
