New Jersey Assemblyman Daniel Van Pelt Videotaped Accepting a Bribe.

"Video of Payment Seen at Bribe Trial," in The Record, May 7, 2010, at p. A-3. (Original from Star Ledger, Mr. Van Pelt is possibly a former member of the Ocean County Legal Ethics Committee.)
Leslie Brody, "Teachers Union Says Federal Funds at Risk: Claims Christie Cuts Will Hurt 'Race to the Top,'" in The Record, May 7, 2010, at p. L-3. (N.J. is first to the bottom!)
Nick Clunn, "Judge Quits to Focus on His Films: Advisory Panel Had Warned of Conflict," in The Record, May 7, 2010, at p. L-6. (What's a little conflict of interest if you're the "Honorable" Kenneth DelVecchio?)
Evonne Coutros, "Downtown is the Key, Candidates Say: Four Seek Two Seats in Ridgewood," in The Record, May 7, 2010, at p. L-6. (The town everybody loves to hate has several "factions" and none of them are competent.)
Nick Clunn, "Rochelle Park Cops Accept Cuts in Pay, Cap on OT to Save 2 Jobs," in The Record, May 7, 2010, at p. L-2. (This notice is accompanied by investigations of "irregularities" in other N.J. police budgets. How are things in Union City?)
Jennifer M. Cunningham, "Cops Agree to Forgo Promotion Raises," in The Record, May 7, 2010, at p. L-5. (Police officers in New Jersey who are underpaid will make sacrifices to compensate for THEFTS elsewhere in the state.)
Karen Kaplan, "DNA Tests Link 'Us,' 'Them,'" in The Record, May 7, 2010, at p. A-15. (Neanderthals may have mated with humans creating a subspecies of mongoloid imbeciles located in New Jersey, mostly -- close to Bayonne or North Bergen, perhaps. Ridgewood?)

"TRENTON -- The video shot in an Atlantic City restaurant was grainy, shaky and noisy, but jurors viewing the footage Thursday were told the passing of an envelope from a federal informant to a state assemblyman was either a bribe or a $10,000 consulting fee -- paid in hundred dollar bills." (emphasis added)

This was the infamous rabbi-corruption scandal in the Garden State.

"The informant seen handing over the money, Solomon Dwek, continued a second day of testimony in U.S. District Court in the corruption trial of former Assemblyman and Ocean Township Committeeman Daniel Van Pelt."

Mr. Van Pelt is an alleged soldier in the Norcross South Jersey machine with ties to the Philadelphia "organizations." Lots of luck with the jury, guys. Bring your toothbrush to court. ("An Open Letter to My Torturers in New Jersey, Terry Tuchin and Diana Lisa Riccioli.")
