Alleged Capo Joseph Lombardi Loves N.J.!

"A Gambino gangster who claims he runs an animal shelter has landed in a federal judge's doghouse."

"Brooklyn federal judge Dora Irizarry is keeping reputed soldier Joseph Lombardi" -- also known, by reputation, as a "capo" for the Gambino crime family -- "on a short leash, twice rejecting his request to travel to N.J. so he could 'attend to' the [animal] shelter in Old Bridge, New Jersey."

Old Bridge has always been a rumored mafia graveyard, one of the places where the bodies are buried, allegedly. Maybe Mr. Lombardi wants to stop by and say hello to Jimmy Hoffa. Otherwise, it may be that the welfare of some stray cats are tugging at "Joe-the-enforcer-Lombardi's" heart strings. Joe is a sensitive guy. It couldn't be that he wants to move some buried bodies so the cops don't find them, right? ("The Gang's All Here!" and "More Mafia Arrests in New Jersey.")

Judge Irizarry is treated with disdain and insulted, numerous "spelling errors" are inserted in communications to the judge that are intended to "ruffle her feathers." Maybe they think Judge Irizarry is Jose Linares of Newark. The federal judge is only "another Latina who is not smart enough to be philosopher" or a good judge, perhaps. I think Judge Irizarry may be a "wise Latina." ("Anthony Suarez Goes on Trial" and "Anthony Suarez Gets a Walk.")

"The judge was clearly 'piqued' by defense lawyer Vito Palmieri's initial letter, which was improperly filed and contained multiple misspellings of her name marked in pen, according to court papers."

Sound familiar?

"Yesterday [Judge] Irizarry denied the request again after assistant U.S. Attorney Whitman Knapp raised questions about whether the shelter even exists."

I am sure that "it" exists, but it is not clear exactly what kind of animals are "sheltered" in this turf. Probably, any mobster who makes it to New Jersey -- which is known as "Nirvana" in mafia circles -- will defect, anticipating professional courtesy from judges in Trenton or Union City, to say nothing of North Bergen, where "Big Nicky" Sacco will put out some antipasto for the boys. ("North Bergen, New Jersey is the Home of La Cosa Nostra.")

Ironically, a massive child porn ring -- involving "connected" police officers from New Jersey -- exploded this week. This is the fourth multiple arrest scenario in five years involving child-prostitution and -porn in the Garden State. The first such wave of arrests alone involved more than 1,000 defendants in several countries. ("New Jersey Superior Court Judge is a Child Molester.")

Sadly, many of the defendants in these child-porn matters are police officers or government workers. Perhaps these mob affiliated "guys and gals" are among the 100 persons given jobs in Bergen County as ousted Democrat officials left office. ("Jay Romano and Conduct Unbecoming to the Judiciary in New Jersey.")

This week POLICEMAN James A. Berthold, 39, from Paterson, New Jersey faces charges as part of a child-porn ring (Diana?) that may involve New Jersey judges and current or former members of the state's fabled legal ethics committee, like Neil M. Cohen, Esq. or Paul Bergrin, Esq. ("Neil M. Cohen, Esq. and Conduct Unbecoming to the Legislature in New Jersey" and "Is Paul Bergrin, Esq. an Ethical New Jersey Attorney?" then "Jennifer Velez is a 'Dyke Magnet!'" and "Trenton's Nasty Lesbian Love-Fest!" and "New Jersey's 'Ethical' Legal System.")

More arrests are expected soon in this developing story as well as further dismissals and investigations of New Jersey's political-mafia sewer, PVSC. The best is yet to come.

You ain't seen nothing yet.
