Passaic Sheriff Charles Meyers' Voter Fraud.
November 1, 2010 at 5:59 P.M. "Errors" were inserted in numerous essays, including "John Banville's 'The Newton Letter'" and "Fidel Castro and the Winter of the Patriarch." I also was forced to reboot my computer as the cable signal to my computer was blocked. ("Fidel Castro's 'History Will Absolve Me.'")
November 1, 2010 at 3:02 P.M. A call was received from 518-649-9950, allegedly, from "Albany, NY." The goal of this message is to convey the idea that Mr. Cuomo is behind this effort to alter copyright-protected writings. I doubt this very much. I also seriously doubt that this cellphone call came from Albany. Is Mr. Cuomo's campaign office in Miami? I doubt it.
November 1, 2010 at 1:47 P.M. "Errors" inserted since I first posted this essay earlier today. I will do my best to make all necessary corrections. I understand that new "arrests" are taking place today in Hudson County.
November 1, 2010 at 1:30 P.M. New attacks have damaged a number of writings. Don't forget to vote tomorrow.
November 1, 2010 at 11:15 A.M. After the alterations in my computer clock, which was set back one hour last night, "errors" were inserted in "The Wanderer and His Shadow." I have now corrected the "errors" in that short story. I cannot say how many other writings have been damaged after this latest intrusion into my computer. My security system shows a red signal indicating passwords are "weak." ("Psychological Torture in the American Legal System" and "Roberto Unger's Revolutionary Legal Theory.")
November 1, 2010 at 9:28 A.M. Several mysterious phone calls this morning from 212-575-0349 (NY Public Library), then "Anonymous." Usually, "errors" are discovered after such calls. I will do my best to repair any harm done to the various writings. At least 8 or 9 texts have been damaged, so far. I wonder why?

"Days before the elections, a Passaic County sheriff's officer has filed a lawsuit contending he was demoted while investigating an allegation that Acting Sheriff Charles Meyers committed voter fraud."
Politically-connected police officers and prosecutors make out in New Jersey. Honest cops usually pay a price for their honesty and non-partisanship. If you don't do favors for the boys downtown, your career dies, quickly and painfully.
Like any fraud crime this allegation against Charles Meyers involves "moral turpitude" or lying per se. I know that this is the sort of quality people look for in law enforcement officials, dishonesty and mendacity. Is Mr. Meyers a member of the New Jersey Bar Association? If so, these allegations must give rise to an ethics complaint against him. Of course, the grievance will be fixed if it is filed at all. ("New Jersey's 'Ethical' Legal System" and "New Jersey's Office of Attorney Ethics.")
New Jersey's culture of local power-structures means that police departments are seen as private armies for political bosses. Not enforcement of laws or honesty, but party loyalty (even violation of the law on behalf of politicians) gets rewarded. North Bergen is notorious for that sort of thing. Right, Big Nicky Sacco? What is the "fee" for a zoning variance these days, Mr. Sacco? ("North Bergen is the Home of La Cosa Nostra.")
Senator Menendez, did you decide to go after me in 1988 because I supported your rival (Bob Haney) in a local election for U.S. Congress? Do you know Terry Tuchin, Senator Menendez? When did you first speak to Mr. Tuchin concerning me, if you ever did, Mr. Menendez? Did you, Senator Menendez, speak to Mr. Tuchin concerning Manuel Diaz in order to arrange for the arrest of Mr. Diaz pursuant to suggestions made to Manuel Diaz under hypnosis? To your knowledge, Senator Menendez, did Mr. Tuchin have conversations with Mr. Diaz while Mr. Diaz was under hypnosis? Was there ever a time when Mr. Diaz was a rival of Senator Menendez for political office? Did Mr. Tuchin have any contacts with Ignacio Saavedra, Esq.? ("Jennifer Velez is a 'Dyke Magnet!'")
"In a civil rights law suit filed in U.S. District Court on Wednesday, [Will this matter go to Judge Linares, Senator Bob?] Sgt. Daryl Walton argues he was booted out of internal affairs in September while he was investigating Meyers, who is active in the Passaic County Democratic Committee. Walton was investigating an allegation that Meyers who, until earlier this year owned a house in Montville, in Morris County and a co-op apartment in Paterson, had fraudulently [this is the County Sheriff?] cast ballots in several Passaic County elections."
Did Meyers vote twice -- like the civic minded dead persons who turn up in every election in New Jersey? Several thousand of these corpses are expected to vote for machine Democrats on November 2, 2010. ("New Jersey is the Home of the Living Dead.")
"Walton's suit says that his First Amendment rights to freedom of speech and his right to redress grievances have been violated. He also contends that he was discriminated against on the basis of race."
Believe this man, Mr. Walton, and send a message to N.J.'s mafia-Democrat machine. This cronyism and corruption is not acceptable, even in the Soprano State. ("Law and Ethics in the Soprano State" and "New Jersey is Lucky Luciano's Havana.")
"Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress" is a Tort action accompanying other civil wrongs in addition to standing on its own as a basis for liability that, because it is intentional as opposed to careless or negligent wrongdoing, allows for punitive damages which are unlimited in most instances. The best way to get New Jersey's disgusting political mob to change its ways is to hit them where it hurts.
If I were on the jury hearing this matter and if the allegations in the complaint were established by the proofs under the lower civil burden placed on the plaintiff ("preponderance of the evidence") -- usually the same standard applies even with regard to intentional Torts, although there may be a higher burden with regard to such deliberate wrongdoing -- then I would not hesitate to award several million dollars of punitive damages in addition to compensatory damages to let the politicians know that New Jersey's people are sick of this nonsense.
